ADCO NORTH has been awarded the contract for the initial electrical site services contract on the new Gahcho Kue diamond mine project. The ADCO team will ensure that all of the temporary power is in place and carry out all of the electrical installation on the camp facilities, which includes bunk houses, kitchen facilities, etc. Gahcho Kue is a joint venture project between De Beers Canada Exploration Inc. and Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. and is located about 300 km northeast of Yellowknife. The Gahcho Kue kimberlites lie under Kennedy Lake and last year a core sample from this project included a 9.9 carat stone.
